Do vegetarians get enough protein?

"Huh! You're vegetarian?.............. So where do you get your protein? This has always been the question whenever people knew that I'm vegetarian.

Protein is needed to help the body build strong muscles, repair tissues and maintain an effective immune system.

It is a common misconception that vegetarians does not get enough protein.

And here's the answer - vegetarians who eat fish, dairy products, and/or eggs get plenty of protein.

Actually even a strict vegan can get enough protein by eating enough grains and legumes, which provide a feeling of fullness, along with the necessary quantity and quality of protein.

Do vegetarians get enough protein? Yes, but where
So here's a short explanation:

Vegans get it from soy products, grains and legumes.
Lacto Vegetarians get it from milk.
Lacto Ovo Vegetarians get it from eggs.
Pesco Vegetarians get it fish.

In fact, there is nothing to worry about havng vegetarian children about getting enough protein.

Say for example, teens can get all the protein they need from an egg, a peanut butter sandwich, a couple glasses of milk, a cup of yogurt, or a black bean burrito.

So do vegetarians get protein? Yes, enough protein.
