Heredity and the common misconceptions about Acne

My Dad who is now at his 60's said he never had an acne before because he never stayed late at night. My Dad’s skin is acne free and he looks great at his age. We only communicate via Facebook message:

Me: When was the last time you had an acne or pimple?

Dad: I never had an acne because I never stay late at night

Proper kitchen hygiene and Ways to avoid bacteria and other types of germs

At an intimate media gathering at Fully Booked, Joy and Dr. Jessica Simbahan from the Philippine Society for Microbiology (PSM) revealed a survey that exposes the shocking truth behind dishwashing bar solutions.

During the event we were also asked to bring out something that we always bring such as bag, cellphone, wallet etc.

While waiting the screen shows showing the waiter cleaning plates with his dirty sock earlier that day.

I Learned that Eye-care is Important specially when you Run

Usually when my eyes hurt due to prolong stay in front of my monitor or when I watch television for long period I take time to close it until I fall asleep. That seldom happens because I sleep too much.

In fact I wash my face immediately even after working for a long period of time.

When I go to run in the morning I do not wear any protective shades, I do not see anything wrong with that.

Now when I eat, I take a lot of fruits and vegetables. What I know is if I eat a lot of squash and carrots I will have a good eye vision, and it's for long.

When I met Dr. Joel Javier, M.D., an Ophthalmologist I took the opportunity to ask the basic things on eye care.

When you love Running Does Taking Care of your Skin Becomes A Problem?

Here's what I regularly do to at least take care of my health :

  • Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.

  • Drinking Wheatgrass (Thanks to Ida Bata for the products)

  • Regular Exercise and Avoiding Stress.

  • Going to YSA Skin Care Center for skin healthcare.

After becoming busy to fun runs and regular jogging I forgot that I already need to visit YSA Skin Care because my skin is becoming baluga again due to sun exposure.

I do jog regulary and add sit-ups after because I wanted to get rid of my big tummy and achieve a six pack abs. Well,  two of my body parts that I am very conscious about is my dirty face and my big tummy.

Somehow I would love to feel and look good so I can have many friends. Lol

Cocina Verde Cafe in Legazpi City

I've been to Legazpi City once, but I never had the chance to look for some vegetarian restaurants when I went there. Thank God the owner of Cocina Verde read my blog and shared the good news about her vegetarian restaurant.

Cocina Verde Cafe is the in-house vegetarian restaurant of the quaint and exotic Casa de Abuela Bed and Breakfast in Legazpi City that serves and sells malunggay pandesal, vegetarian pizza and pasta, home-made coco ice-cream and other nutrilicious vegetarian cuisine such as veggie barbecue, adobo and kare-kare.

Can a vegetarian like Geneva Cruz survive in the wild

Survivor is a game of survival. In the previous episodes of Survivor, international and local there are tasks wherein you really need to eat animals. If Geneva Cruz is a vegetarian, I don't think she is ready for this.

Yes, a vegetarian can survive in the wild because there's plenty of plants and the vegetation is conducive. You can choose to eat in your way of living. But cases like the Survivor game, it involves meat eating. I think Geneva could have thought about it before she decided to join the fact that she was a vegetarian.

On the other hand it was not the main reason at all why she left and quit the game. Heres the reason why courtesy of Pep.ph

"I don't think 3 million pesos and being named as Sole Survivor is all worth the pain that I am feeling right now," says Geneva Cruz (right) about her decision to leave the reality show. Her partner, KC Montero, opted to stay in Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown. Courtesy of Pep.ph

GENEVA BREAKS DOWN. The day became more drama-filled when vegetarian singer Geneva Cruz admitted that she wanted to pull out of the game. She and her partner, KC Montero, had a heart-to-heart talk about her decision.

Geneva tearfully admitted, "This is not real. I absorb everything around me...I did everything to help. I cannot do this...it's money, yeah. You wanna win. I got nothing...I am not going to make any effort getting alliances."

KC asked directly, "So you are gonna quit?"

Geneva replied, "This is my first day and I'm falling apart. Everything is against the things that I believe in. I know that this is not real. I know at the end of the whole thing, this is just a game. And I know what's gonna happen."

When KC left, Arnold appeared and tried to console Geneva. Geneva adamantly told him, "Go away! I'm not gonna change my mind. I can't play this game. I want to win this game with him. He [KC] is selfish. He's gonna get you guys too, you know. I'm not gonna change my mind."

Geneva and KC continued their dialogue along the beach shore. While Geneva was writing something on the sand, she pointed to KC, "You're gonna hate me for the rest of your life." Geneva then wrote her son's name "Heaven" on the sands of Palawan.

KC stated, "You must be doing this for some reason. It's written here. Heaven."

Geneva shot back, "Ask my son. Ask your son. Would he rather see his mother suffer and not fight for what she believes in or the P3 million pesos? You know him more. You know what he is gonna say..."

KC was visibly disappointed and upset with Geneva's decision since he wanted to stay in the game.

While waiting for their ride back, KC hugged Geneva.

The Fil-Am DJ/host told Geneva that he wanted to say good-bye to the other castaways. But this gesture pissed off the singer. She went ballistic and told KC, "You only care about yourself. You're supposed to protect me here. I told you I cannot anymore...they're filming me."

The Latest Trends of Allura Body Contour and Slimming Center

Quite a few times that I've visited Allura Body Contour and Slimming Center seeing the bikini body of Cristine Reyes in their ad. At last I got the chance to experience some of their treatment. The same treatment Cristine had, when she did the box office movie No Other Woman.

During my visit at Allura I realized two things. The importance of having good health and the importance of religiously doing it.

Maintaining an appropriate weight for your body is important specially at young age. "You don't need to wait aging before you start caring for your body" Miss Mari(Allura) advises.

This is not a secret but proper nutrition, exercise, and weight loss techniques is beneficial to health, so putting your knowledge to work by actually living a healthy lifestyle will lower your risk of cardiovascular diseases, obesity and other ailments.

Learning about weight maintenance and educating yourself on this aspect can be a key ingredient to a healthy lifestyle so I tried going to Allura.

During my body assessment I was advised to have lipo cavitation and bio ultra tone treatment. Every client must undergo body assessment because they tailor programs to each individual's specific need to deliver the results that you are looking for.

Lipo cavitation is the best treatment for fat destruction. It is an exciting new treatment which improves the overall appearance of an area that contains excess fat or cellulite.

While Bio Ultra Tone is the ultimate answer to a streamlined well toned body which can be achieved through strenous physical activities associated with fitness enthusiasts who spend endless hours in fitness clinics.

Bio Ultra Tone vs. Gym Exercise

"Mas mabilis ang effect in a lesser timeline" said Ms. Mari
In gym, you become hungry because you lost a lot of energy, but in this treatment only the muscles gets tired, you burn calories without replacing the energy. Since calories play an important role on losing and maintaining weight.

It only takes 30 minutes for Lipo cavitation and another 30 minutes for Bio Ultra Tone.

Prices
Lipocavitation costs 3,500/session while Bio Ultra Tone costs 1,800/session. This is perfect for those with ideal body weight who wishes to maintain it.

Effects:

LIPO-CAVITATION:

• Break 10 mm of fat tissue in 10 minutes
• Results compare to liposuction
• Ideal for heavily dimpled thighs and bulging abdomens.

BIO ULTRA TONE:

• Ultimate answer for those that desire a streamlined TONED BODY.
• Ideal to individuals who spend endless hours in the gym.
• Immediate results – up to 4 cm in a single session
• Increases body metabolism
• Whole body treatement

Downside:

Only minor pain but will not last for a day.

Eating Like a Rabbit

NO FEAR! SOYAMI SOYA CHIPS!

Eating snacks without the guilt

I am sick and tired of trying to look and investigate the ingredients of snack foods available on the racks of groceries or convenient stores. I always wanted to be sure that I will not be a victim of another new COMMERCIAL JUNK FOOD that is out there on the market that will make the consumer’s life more miserable after consuming the addictive poisonous snacks. I have always said to myself that I will not be a victim of paid media hype selling toxic products
clothe as a healthy food. Most of the time they use celebrities to sell the venomous nibblers.

No, I am not paranoid. I just wanted to stay healthy. I want my internal organs and blood pressure to remain normal after ingesting something that will satisfy my hunger.

One day, while digging among the gamut of snacks available that will go with my fruit juices, Lo and Behold, something fell on my head from the top rack like manna from heaven! A Soyami Soya Chips Pizza flavored! I’ve searched where it came from and found two more flavors; the White Cheddar and the Original flavor. It is made with Real Soya, no MSG, High in Protein and Calcium, O% transfat, 0% in Cholesterol and Sodium, too. It was a priceless find, a treasure among the trashes that is being sold everywhere. Isn’t that
just wonderful?!

Now, I can enjoy and eat my snacks without fear and being guilty. I am contended with
the three flavors to choose from. But I hope that they will add more varieties soon. Now, what flavor is my juice today? Apple, cherry…
