ECHO Yoga Kicks Off 2011 with Yoga Workshops
Take that intention of beginning a healthy lifestyle this year by joining a yoga class. ECHOyoga workshops are for absolute beginners, and are specifically tailored to ground you into an understanding of yoga, the science of breath. The main goal is to bring a new understanding of yoga's benefits for a healthy body, a focused mind, and a peaceful heart. The body's flexibility is achieved only when the breath is steady and controlled. Aside from regular classes such as Gentle Flow, Led Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow, which ECHOyoga offers, a schedule of special workshops for the first quarter of the year are now available, so people can plan their healthy lifestyle way in advance.
For January, workshops include the BEGINNERS GROUNDING on January 13, 20, 27, and February 3. These four instructional sessions are a painless way of easing into yoga for the absolute beginner. PAST LIFE REGRESSION on January 29 is a group session that opens the subconscious to visualization of possible past life connections. This one-off session includes meditation, facilitation for regression into the subconscious, and soul work and group discussion.
A special fundraising workshop on January 15 and 22 is YOGA FOR DEPRESSION, done in partnership and for the benefit of the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF). This workshop offers therapeutic yoga sequences aligned with reiki healing for those who want to manage their depressive tendencies and mood fluctuations. Proceeds of the workshop benefit the education and information programs on depression for OFWs and their families. Other ECHOyoga workshops include INTRODUCTION TO YOGA FOR BIG PEOPLE, CHAKRA HEALING MEDITATION, YOGA THERAPY FOR ATHLETES (SPORTS INJURIES), YOGA FOR THE SPINE AND SPINE INJURIES.
The workshops will be held at the penthouse of Century Plaza, 120 Perea St., Legaspi Village, Makati City. To reserve, please call or SMS 0906-5063958 or e-mail echoyogaworkshop@gmail.com. For more details and regular class schedules, visit echoyoga.echostore.ph.
