TV5 stars and news personalities, along with the country’s renowned athletes, will be joining in the festivities of the very much anticipated AKTV Run this Sunday, June 5, at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.
Set to launch AKTV, Sports5’s primetime sports block on IBC channel 13, the AKTV Run will be led by triathlete and AKTV Run poster girl Michelle Estuar and Sports5 analyst Jason Webb. They will be joined by other athletes including amateur basketball player Eric Salamat as well as Sports5 reporters Mav Gonzales and Rizza Diaz. With the gun start for the 21K race scheduled as early as 4:45 a.m., runners are advised to assemble at the area at 4:00 a.m.
The Sports5 event also features post-run festivities dubbed as AKTV Family Fun Fair wherein people of all ages can enjoy an array of exciting sports presentations, health and fitness demonstrations, photo ops, among other fun-filled activities. There will be boxing, billiards, mixed-martial arts demo booths as well as yoga and Pilates classes at the fair area.
Kids will also enjoy a fun Sunday morning by the bay as the AKTV Family Fun Fair offers amusing activities for them at the TV5 Kids tent, where they can watch a show featuring their favorite characters from Batibot as well as other popular characters from Disney and Cartoon Network programs airing on TV5.
The AKTV Family Fun Fair will be hosted by News5 anchor Paolo Bediones, together with Manu Sandejas and Chiqui Roa (hosts of TV5 sports show Astig). Fans will have the chance to see the cast of TV5 programs Bagets, Iskul Bukol and Bangis up close and have their photos taken with them at their designated photo booths.
With such a star-studded lineup of exciting activities, the SM Mall of Asia grounds is surely the place to be for the whole family this Sunday morning as Sports5 launches its newest sports block via AKTV Run and the AKTV Family Fun Fair.
