Diet Soda Is it Really Good for Weight Loss?

diet drinks make you fatWe all know by now that soda (aka "pop" in some areas) is one of the most evil things you can put in your body… the nasty chemicals, the gut-fattening high fructose corn syrup, and a myriad of health problems caused by this carbonated cocktail worshipped by those that don't care about their health or body.

Since you're one of my subscribers, I know that you actually do care about your health and the appearance of your body.

Surprisingly, many people falsely believe that "diet" soda is in some way a good thing for losing body fat.  In fact, I hear people all the time proudly state that they eat so healthy and only drink diet soda.

7 steps to maximum protection against day and night dengue-lamok attacks

Now that we’ve discovered that dengue is a threat during the day and at night as well, it’s very clear that our anti-dengue protection measures should be proven effective against both day-biting and night-biting dengue lamok. There is still no vaccine yet against dengue and no specific medication against a dengue infection. So the best way to protect ourselves, our children and other loved ones is to prevent an infection in the first place.

Below are some tips on how you can maximize your defenses against attacks from dengue lamok:

How to Cook Vegetarian Batchoy

A round of applause to my partner Issa Quintos who made it to the Top 6 among the 14 contenders of Electrolux #Wokaholic Kitchen Star Boot Camp.

She was tasked to cook a Filipino dish na may sabaw. She thought of cooking vegetarian kare-kare but later on she decided to cook vegetarian batchoy, as suggested by her hubby Allen.

Vegetarian batchoy was her personal favorite when she was still a meat eater, but when she learned the vegetarian way of cooking she also learned cooking this kind of dish.

Revised Vegetarian Asia Travel Guide Now Available

In the early 1990s, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and had the chance to spend six months traveling in Asia. It was a life-changing experience for which I’m very grateful. However, the whole time I was traveling, I was so confused about what to eat! As a vegetarian, I didn’t want to eat fish sauce or little pieces of chopped up meat, but was spending time in countries where I didn’t speak the languages. I’m afraid that my sign language and attempts at local languages, especially the tonal ones like Thai, weren’t very good.
